I got to stop in on the other teachers’ Design Tech classes today. Today was my dear friend Mr. Kreir who is building arcade games with his students as the class’ long term goal, but today they’re building simple Arduino to serve/solve any function/problem they desire.
I’m really just posting this entry today because it was fun for me to see that the MakerSpace is being utilized by so many classes and getting traction quickly. A makerspace is really just a room with tools and when people need tools (and raw supplies), why not? It’s just a big open space, but we have to find creative ways to use it, so I suppose that’s where I come in as a coach; I’m above all else a creative idea-person that is there to help people make connections to their unit plans.
